You may ask what the future holds for the Elite and the answer on the Adult level is the formation of the 1st Annual Gridiron Elite Post Season Single Elimination Tourney. As the tourney takes shape the Elites concept is simple, provide great coverage and bring the best football experience possible to both the teams and players. For more information about the tournament and its ultra low entry fee and fundraising opportunities for your programs please visit. This tournament is not designed to compete with any of the existing tournaments but designed to help each tournament service the entire semi-pro community more efficiently.

The Gridiron Elite will also be hosting a Town Hall type meeting  on Jan.  16th 2010. This meeting will be the first exploration into the business of semi-pro football and an alternate method to providing teams and players with the ultimate semi-pro experience. This meeting will explore several ideas that will offer immediate value to both teams and players. For more information about this meeting please visit.

The Elite is also looking for additional programs and staff to see the continued progress of this organization. If you are a progressive owner looking to help mold the sport you enjoy visit here. If you are a player or coach with a few extra hours of time please visit here and make application to any of the following positions. The Gridiron Elite Program is a group of like minded organizations that work together for the embetterment of the community through football programs.  As a follow up to the first annual 7 on 7 High School Invitational, the Bronx Rebels Youth Program and the Elite provided another great event for the area youth to enjoy… tickets to a NFL preseason game.

The New York Jets took on the St. Louis Rams last night at the Meadowlands in their first preseason game.  What made the event such a great night was that you had serveral different generations of football players that all play for teams in the Elite program.  With Rebel youth players cheering on Gang Green, with kids from various high schools in the Bronx, with the 7 on 7 champs Mount Vernon, with Spartan players who are in college, with Bandit players taking their wives, babies and toddlers to a night out all together was something very special.

“It was a great time, the program is great and even though I haven’t been part of the program for a long time I have had a great time at every event they have done.” said one high schooler, another player who was attending his first NFL game could only muster a “This was so cool” as he munched down some concessions while watching Jet quarterback Mark Sanchez make his debut.

With so many teams going at once and schedules many times conflicting the Elite staff is feverishly working on the next Elite event.  They are eyeing a chance to give Elite members and especially the youth in the program the opportunity to experience a colleigate tailgating and football game.  Look forward to that as preliminary schedules are marking Sept 19th for this one.  At any rate make sure you stay tuned to GridironElite.org for news and announcements on all the Gridiron Elite teams.

Bandits Reach Milestone ….150!

Saturday action on the gridiron had more at stake than usual.  Ask Coach Bill Badson how important win number 150 is and he will probably tell you just as much as the previous 149.  The New York Bandits moved their record to 3-0 with a win over the New York Syn.  The Bandits showed plenty of firepower on both sides of the ball as Dion Young, Lenny Gonzalez and Javon Garcia had record days on offense.  On defense, the front four played inspiried ball by shutting down the Syn running game while Bandit ”Air Traffic Control” regulated the not so friendly skies by picking off errant passes including returning captain Rashid Darrisaws first of the season.

A newcomer made a name for himself as Collis Martin emerged with a multiple touchdown game, it appears as though we will hear another name on a weekly basis as his hard work seems to be paying big dividends.  The Bandits are back to work this week before facing EFA playoff team New York City Falcons in Far Rockaway this week.  The staff at the Gridiron Elite asked Coach Badson, and Defensive Coordinator Tito Perez what the next major accomplishment in this storied program’s future and they on que replied “151″.
